I have been a full-time travel advisor since 1985 and I still love my job! Everyone ALWAYS asks me "Where is your favorite place that you've been?" - That's a really tough question because I can honestly say I LIKE everywhere I visit as it's always some type of experience. It might be educational, cultural or just relaxing! Doesn't matter to me because I don't think I will ever be too old to learn. I am proficient in Luxury, Vacation, and Corporate Travel.
There is no doubt that this industry has changed quite a bit over the last 40 years but I still feel such satisfaction when a Honeymooner returns from a fabulous trip and can't wait to tell me all about it, or when a Grandma/Grandpa arrive at a hotel and are treated like VIPs because I took a minute to contact the front desk and announce their arrival as "very special guests" of mine.
